This thing is cool:

It’s a software defined radio (receiver) that can pick up from 0.001 – 2000MHz. I used those units on purpose for my non-tech friends… your am radio in your car picks up .54 – 1.7 MHz and your FM radio picks up 88.1 – 107.9MHz.

It has a very sensitive receiver with two tuners in it. I’ve already used it to listen to shortwave broadcasts, ham radio operators in the HF bands, I’ve listened to the Okaloosa sheriff’s department dispatch frequency and I’ve tried to see what I can pick up around 915MHz which is a ham radio band and a band for Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) devices.

I’ll likely post some videos to YouTube of things you can pick up in my neck of the woods and I’ll probably put audio up of things I record with the audio recorder.
