I find it amazing how well 1 watt at digital modes propagate like JS8 compared to 5 watts and even 100 watts of SSB and will be presenting a talk at my local radio club on how I use HamClock to monitor propagation conditions. It really is capable of much more than I use it for but I think the ability to have an idea where your signal will go makes a big difference in enjoying radio or being dejected wondering why you aren’t able to get that DX station that you can hear. I have mine at the house configured to use the Stratum 1 time server I built last winter as its primary time source.
I installed HamClock on a Raspberry Pi 4 with 2 GB RAM. The software is available from Elwood Downey’s (WB0OEW) web site (https://www.clearskyinstitute.com/ham/HamClock/).
