Raspbian version: 2014-09-09-wheezy-raspbian.img<\/p>\n
1. Setup the OS:
\nUse caution on your target storage device:
\nsudo dd bs=4M if=2014-09-09-wheezy-raspbian.img of=\/dev\/sdb<\/p>\n
2. Boot the card and expand the file system, change password, configure ssh server, and set hostname… then reboot the pi.<\/p>\n
3. Assume root
\nsudo su -l root<\/p>\n
4. Update your OS:
\napt-get update
\napt-get dist-upgrade
\napt-get upgrade<\/p>\n
5. Edit TNC-Pi specific Ras-Pi needed files:
\nFile: \/boot\/cmdline.txt
\nRemove the following: console=ttyAMA0,115200
\nRemove the following: kgdboc=ttyAMA0,115200 (this was not present on my pi)<\/p>\n
File: \/etc\/inittab
\nRemove the last line in tbe file, it should be:
\nT0:23:respawn:\/sbin\/getty -L ttyAMA0 115200 vt100<\/p>\n
6. Reboot<\/p>\n

8. I’m compiling from source, install the build tools:
\napt-get install build-essential libax25-dev libx11-dev zlib1g-dev libncurses5-dev<\/p>\n
9. Move original ax library files:
\nmkdir \/usr\/lib\/ax25lib
\nmv \/usr\/lib\/libax25* \/usr\/lib\/ax25lib\/<\/p>\n
10. Compile (see k4gbb page)<\/p>\n
11. Simlink directories
\nln -s \/var\/ax25 \/usr\/local\/var\/ax25
\nln -s \/etc\/ax25 \/usr\/local\/etc\/ax25<\/p>\n
12. Prepare files system
\ncd \/usr\/local\/bin
\nchmod 2755 *<\/p>\n
13. Load Modules
\nmodprobe ax25
\nmodprobe<\/p>\n
